Write up case studies for each of our partnerships

We have over 65 collaborators who are working with us. We would like you to create a high-level case study on what work they are doing with us, who they are, and how Gooru Navigator helps them with their work. This should then be converted into a blog post and shareable Instagram infographic.

Study experience for elementary kids

Develop the design and flow considering elementary students. The flow, transitions between lessons, completing activities, etc. should be made very engaging and fun for the learner. The design should consider the complete flow from finding a course or topic to study, establishing the skyline, getting directions to the destination, studying each lesson with collections and assessments, playing individual resources, and answering questions.

Improve study flow

Review current study experience in the Navigator for Learner for middle and high school students and come up with alternate approaches that improve the study experience for the learners. The design should consider the complete flow from finding a course or topic to study, establishing the skyline, getting directions to the destination, studying each lesson with collections and assessments, playing individual resources, and answering questions.

Calculator

Create a JavaScript-based Calculator tool that allows the student to access from within the Navigator’s study player. The Calculator should be available for access at any time. It should also take in configuration parameters to disable access based on the context of the study player. In certain instances, the author/teacher may disable access to the calculator while solving certain problems. You can leverage existing open source solutions to create the Calculator tool for Navigator

Note-taking tool

Design a JavaScript-based Note-taking tool that can be integrated into Navigator’s study player. A student should be able to quickly take notes while either watching a video or going through a document or website. They should be able to tag it with keywords/categories so that they can find them easily later. The note should also be tagged with the context of the class, resource/question, and collection/assessment that the student created the note in. You can leverage existing open source solutions to create the Note-taking tool for Navigator

Find open education accessibility tools

Find open education accessibility tools, such as tools to change the text size and background color, text to speech and speech to text tools, and rollover glossaries and have them integrated into Navigator applications as a tool

Content creation for lower grades

Create interactive and engaging content to help learners fill gaps in early grade-level knowledge. For example, a 5th-grade learner in math might have foundational gaps in K-2 concepts. The project will include adding collections and machine graded checks for understanding for the learning journey as well as finding and developing additional content to be used as suggestions.

Participate in the content build of larger courses

These courses would need to have relevant resources and assessments and should be able to contribute to the development of various abilities in Learners. Either in terms of enhancing the employability of youth or in helping K-12 students develop social and emotional skills to handle challenges.
