No Sound on Videos on iPad

Surprise! There is a hidden “Mute” control on the iPad that may be the cause of your problem.

Check this control by double clicking on the home button of your iPad (as if you wanted to display all of the apps running) and swiping your finger from left to right. You should see a menu that has brightness and volume controls. Make sure that the volume button on the left is NOT muted.
